George Lulis envisioned a wine that reaches far and brings people closer together. His journey began in Arma Viotias, where he moved from Athens, initially seeking space to expand his construction businesses. In 2000, his passion for nature led him to plant a 17-acre vineyard around his work and home.
Starting with the Merlot variety, Lulis pursued winemaking not for economic gain but for personal satisfaction, inspired by the "Garagistes" movement in France. Over time, his hobby evolved into Armathos Winery in Arma Viotias, producing rosé, fresh and aged red wines using organic cultivation and winemaking practices. Armathos Winery offers seven exceptional wine labels, each with a unique character. Every visitor can discover their own taste destination within this collection.
The ideal timing of harvest for proper grape maturation, the continental climate, and the rocky-limestone soil are the elements ensuring the excellent quality of Armathos wines. Their wines are distinguished by their dynamic character, rich body, and wide aromatic palette.
